On Thursday, November 21st, at 8pm, Music After Dark will launch its “Viva Las Vegas” program, a celebration of the artists (and the music) synonymous with Las Vegas. The program includes songs recorded by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Elvis, Cher, Celine Dion, Dean Martin, Mel Torme, Liza Minelli and others. Elvis tribute artist Richie Santa will be appearing with Susan on November 21. Santa has performed over 600 concerts as an Elvis tribute artist, focusing on the Vegas concert years. Limited Seating.

Music After Dark returns to The Little Theater upstairs at Temple Emanuel, for its final fall concert. The program boasts an informal and intimate pairing of music and friends, with its host, celebrated vocalist Susan Agin. Accompanied by live musicians, each show features new music and a special guest artist. On Thursday, December 12, at 8pm, Music After Dark will reprise its Body And Soul program, a celebration of the music popularized by such artists as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Diana Ross and others. New York Soul man Bobby Harden will be appearing. Inducted into the New York Blues Hall of Fame, Harden is the lead singer for the Original Blues Brothers Band, is the familiar voice of many syndicated TV commercials including American Express, and is one of the most compelling performers on the Manhattan music scene today. Free Parking on premises. Venue is fully accessible. Very limited seating. Doors open at 7:30pm.

Temple L’Chaim’s High Holy Day services are meaningful, spiritual and egalitarian. We welcome all who are unaffiliated to attend. Services are conducted by Rabbi Charles Agin, who served at the Free Synagogue of Flushing in New York until he retired. The musical portions of the service are lead by a Cantor Susan Agin with accompaniment.
