Susan Agin, BA, MS -
Susan Agin was granted the opportunity to record One Song written by multi-award winner Marvin Hamlisch. You can hear a clip of the song here. Critics have referred to One Song as "the anthem for all people." Susan has made the time to not only sing the national anthem for New York Mets fans, but stay busy creatively writing, directing and producing her own touring musicals. Susan is a member of Actor's Equity and is known throughout the metropolitan area for her celebrated musical comedy style of performing. In addition to her latest "behind-the-scenes" role as Managing and Artistic Director for the Queensborough Performing Arts Center, Susan has begun her own company training young people in how to audition for the musical theatre, developed the first dance/exercise program for The Renfrew Center, a clinic for eating disorders, and created a special interest dance program for the children of the Central Park East II school in Harlem. Agin's own performance credits include: Off Broadway, touring, regional and New York/Cabaret (see resume). Susan's most recent passion is that of studying Jewish liturgy and is thrilled to have obtained her Cantorial certification. Susan sits on the Boards for Newsdays Everyday Hero, Queens Poet Laureate and The Josephine Foundation. Susan dedicates her work to her mother "who treated me like an artist until I became one." |
